Trick 2. How to Multiply any number by 11.

Example-

3162 x 11

Step 1.  Pick any number to multiply by 11. 

                                                             

           

Step 2. Take your number that you have picked and write down the last number(the ones digit).

                                                       
                                                                 

Step 3. Then starting from the last two digits(ones and tens) add them together and write that number  next to your last number. 

             ex. 6+2=8. Then 8 is placed next to my 2 therefore 82.


                                                     

Step 4. Continue this process from right to left ,until you have no more digits to add. 

             ex. 1+6=7. Then 7 is placed next to 82 therefore 782. 

             ex. 3+1=4. Then 4 is placed next to 782 therefore 4782

                                                             

Step 5. The final step  is to place the first digit in front of the number you have created through all of the addition. 

 ex. 3 is placed next to 4782 which gives you 34,782.
